In Mexico, only 30% of young people living in rural areas complete their high school education, primarily due to a lack of infrastructure in their communities and economic difficulties in their families. Dropping out of school is a significant problem for these young individuals as it disrupts the development of their skills and limits their prospects in the job market. The Comprehensive Scholarship Program aims to help these young people complete their secondary or high school education by providing them with a monthly scholarship over the course of a year. Additionally, it supports them in developing valuable skills for their future through various hands-on activities, including participating in the monitoring of turtles near their community.
